Think, say, and do what is best for you
Careless words stab like a sword, but wise words bring healing. Proverbs 12:18
As we rest on this day and prepare for another work week, may we work to speak “Healing Words” as the title of today’s message conveys. Today’s devotional says, “God characterizes a person of wisdom as one of few words. Perhaps this is because a careless word can do so much damage. None of us can deny that words carry power. They can easily leave a mark that is not quickly erased.” Let us be careful of the words we speak, may they be caring and constructive, not cruel and crushing to others.
Reflection from Anxiety about Money
Today’s message from “Anxiety about Money” shares the importance of “Identifying the Source of Our Financial Anxiety”. We are encouraged by the message to do the following. “Some questions that we can ask ourselves to help us figure out the source of our financial anxiety are: Did some event occur unexpectedly? Are my spending habits out of control? Am I not earning enough to provide? Have I confused my needs and wants?” When we analyze our situation, we can work to prioritize and ensure Christ is first, followed by our needs with less emphasis on our wants.
