Plan, rest, and pray each day
“I’ll lie down and sleep like a baby— then I'll awake in safety, for you surround me with your glory.” Psalm 3:5
This morning’s message “Naptime” resonates strongly with me at this current time. The author talks about the struggles parents face with babies not wanting to sleep at night, and the struggle to get teens to get up as they work to sleep late or nap, and then are wide awake at night. We, however, as the message highlights, “We finally understand the importance of rest and we feel the lack of it. But how can we possibly find the time to rest? God promises rest to his people. He tells us to come and rest awhile. Maybe it's time to listen to our heavenly Father.” Let us truly work to understand that rest is not laziness; God rested. Psalm 3:5 says, “I’ll lie down and sleep like a baby— then I'll awake in safety, for you surround me with your glory.” Stop worrying about what things look like, and move based upon what you feel. If you’re weary and weak, rest in His safety for restoration.
Reflection from Anxious About Money
Today’s message from “Anxious About Money” encourages us to “Make a Plan”. It says, “Some people think of budgets as being restrictive, but in reality, budgets are meant to free you to spend without worry.” We are encouraged to defeat our debt by chiseling away at it, start a savings for the unexpected, and spend wisely. Let us strive for debt free for the rest of 2023, and less is more in 2024.
Isaiah 40:28
May we work to not question the what, when, where, and why, because we know the who that has been, is, and is still to come to ensure the best for our lives.🙏🏽💚🦋🌈
Plan, rest, and pray each day, my friend.
