Nothing in this life is greater than our God

“The heartfelt counsel of a friend is as sweet as perfume and incense.” Proverbs 27:9

Proverbs 27:9 reads, “The heartfelt counsel of a friend is as sweet as perfume and incense.” In this morning’s message “Morning Sweet Aroma” we are reminded, “Friendships that have Christ as their center are wonderful relationships blessed by the Father. Through the timely, godly advice these friends offer, God speaks to us, showering us with comfort that is as sweet as perfume and incense.” Let us always make time to engage with friends for they are blessings. Reached out whenever one comes to mind; your thoughtfulness might be what is needed for them to make it through the day.

Reflection from Let’s Read the Bible Together

In Luke 4:8 Jesus says, “‘Worship the Lord your God and serve him only.’” As we engage in this second day of this new year, and many of us return to work, let us not allow work to be an idol and more important than our God. Do what is right but don’t be overwhelmed with work and its demands. In all things as God to lead, guide, and help you.

James 1:22-24
