Daily Devotional for December 4, 2020

“That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.”

‭‭Matthew‬ ‭5:45‬ ‭KJV‬‬

All I can say is that Joel Osteen preached a word specifically to me in only a few lines this morning. I continue to REalize the importance of perspective as I continue to process the process I’ve experienced. As Osteen shared, “Don’t fall into self-pity. ‘I don’t know what I did wrong.’ You may not have done anything wrong. Maybe it’s because you’re doing something right.” In all honesty, I have had such thoughts, but this message this morning gives me REassurance that I have done what is necessary to REdiscover who I am and whose I am as I work to do the will of God and walk authentically in my passion and purpose. I’m so grateful for perspective that produces peace.

Exodus 38

As we continue to see in Exodus 38 this morning, when we stay focused on Thee, there is nothing too small or too larger for us to accomplish with the time, talents and treasures we have BEen blessed with. Let us keep the faith and willingness to do, and our Father will continue to lead us to the next task set out just for us to accomplish.

REflection from Yoke Breaking Anointing

This morning we BEgin the series from Vance K. Jackson, “Yoke Breaking Anointing”. The devotional BEgins discussing a yoke, which was used to tame or control (usually a weaker) animal by connecting it with a stronger animal. Jackson states, “When you are in Christ, every yoke of bondage is destroyed.” Like some animals held with a yoke, the enemy works to do the same with us. We stay connected with things, but most often people who are holding us back and preventing us from our breakthroughs and walking authentically in what God has for us. We put others and their needs BEfore ours, not REalizing there is a difference BEtween BEing selfish and self-care.

Take an assessment this Friday and throughout the weekend (and overtime if necessary) to determine where a yoke may be found. Jackson emphasizes, “Yoking by the enemy is a means to control you and to redirect your purpose.” Work to identify where you are bound and to let go and let God have His way in your life.

Jeremiah 31:3

What a comfort it is in knowing He has and continues to love us when we aren’t able to love ourselves and is always available, never failing to answer when we call or are unable to do so. 🙏🏽💚🦋🌈

Find your freedom for it’s for you this Friday.
