We are made to master many things

“Be on guard. Stand firm in the faith. Be courageous. Be strong.” 1 Corinthians‬ ‭16:13‬ ‭NLT‬‬

I needed this very devotional this morning and for the REst of the week I have. The title of Osteen’s message is “In It to Win It”. He highlights 1 Corinthians 16:13, and then basically gives us a mantra: “My destiny is too great and my assignment is too important to get discouraged, distracted, and bitter.… I'm going to become all God has created me to be.” No matter what comes our way, we must REmain forward, focused and following in faith (and not fear) and favor, sticking to the course that God has prepared to see us to and through to our destiny. REmember, if it was easy, everyone would BE doing it, but you and I are chosen.

Isaiah 61

Isaiah 61:8 says, our Lord loves justice, and He hates robbery and wrongdoing. He will faithfully reward His people for their suffering and make an everlasting covenant with them.

REflection from Promises for Your Everyday Life

Meyer REminds us this morning that all anger is not sin. She says, “Anger sometimes serves a useful purpose, so it isn't necessarily always a sin…. Just being tempted to do something is not sin. It's when you don't resist the temptation and do it anyway that it becomes sin…. God sometimes allows us to feel anger so we'll recognize when we're being mistreated.” As a dear friend of mine REpeated to me when I experienced situations that frustrated and angered me, “Feel what you need to feel, but don’t stay in it.” We must give everything to God, including our feelings, and let go and let Him, for as we continue to know, He will fight for us and work things for our good.

Proverbs 19:17

Let us give what we have to those in need and watch the Father provide all of our needs, and even many of our wants. 🙏🏽💚🦋🌈

We are made to master many things, my friend.
