Daily Devotional for September 19, 2021

“Then David said to the Philistine, ‘You come to me with a sword, with a spear, and with a javelin. But I come to you in the name of the Lord of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied.’”

‭‭I Samuel‬ ‭17:45‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

“When you face difficulties, keep the right perspective”, Osteen says. Yesterday I was having a conversation with a mother figure, and she REmembered the first time she met me, and I said. “I cry a lot”. However, yesterday she spoke to my strength as a woman who has persevered T.H.R.O.U.G.H. (Trials, Hurt, Regrets, Obstacles, Uncertainty, Guilt, Heartbreak) to get to my breakthrough. I contribute this growth to my ability to find the positive in every situation, for I know God works everything for my good, so I must BElieve it myself. Now, a few years later, I honestly don’t REmember the last time I cried. There have BEen things that if I encountered BEfore, my mindset would have allowed situations to get the BEst of me. Yet now, I stay anchored in the Lord, and as Osteen says this morning, I don’t always see a way, but my hope is in God. I know that He has it all figured out, and He’ll get me to where I’m supposed to be. Now at this moment, I’m filled with tears of JOY, because I know His word is true—I’ve experienced for myself.

Numbers 2

As the multitude of people in the various camps in Numbers 2, let us work to BE our brothers’ and sisters’ keeper in Christ and the battle of life.

REflection from Strength in God’s Presence

Today’s message from “Strength in God’s Presence” says, “When we read Scripture, or when we are praying and we hear words from God, it can be easy to read the words quickly and just go on with our day. We glaze over them, paying little attention. We don’t honor them, investigating what deeper meaning might be available for us to take in.” It is important to take time to dwell in His word, for interpretation is for the REader. Each of us are on our own JOurneY and have/will encounter similar but different experiences of our brothers and siSTARS, but we must take time to not just REad the word but sit in the Word, for the Word is God. When we take time to BE in the Word and with the Father, it allows us to put aside what our mind creates but follow what God has put in our hearts to do. May we take time each day to meditate and BE in His presence to REceive His presents for our lives.

Psalm 119:114

He is our ultimate protector, and in Him we can REst assured and anchored. 🙏🏽💚🦋🌈

Silence is for the soul to seek solitude in the Savior this Sunday, my friend.
