Daily Devotional for September 20, 2021
“Hope deferred makes the heart sick, But when the desire comes, it is a tree of life.”
Proverbs 13:12 NKJV
This weekend was a tough weekend for me, but from the outside looking in, you would never know. As Osteen speaks to this morning, “Nobody lives on cloud nine with everything perfect and exciting everyday.” However, it may look like it, but looks can BE deceiving. In my case, I work to choose JOY, and in the case of today’s message, hope. I just posted last night on social media that I realize more and more each day that I make things look easy. But no, I too cry, I too hurt, I too get lonely, I too get angry, upset, and disappointed, yet I have learned, and as Osteen phrases it, I know God has good things in store. As a REsult, it’s faith that is always written on my face, even when I’m actually going T.H.R.O.U.G.H. (Trials, Hurt, Regrets, Obstacles, Uncertainty, Guilt, Heartbreak).
Numbers 3
Let us BE REminded as in Numbers 3:12-13, no matter our birth right, we all BElong to the Father. Whether a firstborn and heir, or not, we all are heirs to the Most High God.
REflection from Strength in God’s Presence
Today’s message from “Strength in God’s Presence” is right on time for me. I’ve felt a bit in darkness lately, but the text gives me hope and confirmation saying, “No matter where we are right now, there is always an invitation from Jesus for us to go deeper into His heart, deeper into possibilities, deeper into light and joy and hope.” No matter where we are—mountain high with hope, or valley low in despair—God is with us and able to lead us T.H.R.O.U.G.H. (Trials, Hurt, Regrets, Obstacles, Uncertainty, Guilt, Heartbreak) and to what He has in store for our lives, which is JOY, but we must trust the JOurneY.
1 Peter 5:6
Let us pray and focus on less of me, and more of Thee, so that God the Father may provide more unto me as He foresees. 🙏🏽💚🦋🌈
Manifest more from Thee by minimizing me, this Monday.
