“And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:19
Philippians 4:19 is the scripture associated with today’s message from Joel Osteen. It REminds us that “God will supply all your needs according to the riches of His glory in Christ Jesus.” Then Osteen follows up with, “God doesn’t allow anything out of which He can’t bring good.” It’s all about trust and perspective. That difficult supervisor—it’s a lesson preparing you through that experience to BEcome a servant leader. That divorce is showing you the strength you have to care for yourself. That job loss is activating your faith to start up your own business. That illness is giving you a voice to advocate and encourage others. Our Father can do all things but fail. He’s never lost a battle, and we won’t either, trusting in His will and way, and His purpose and plan.
Jeremiah 40
In Jeremiah 40, the commander of the guard says to him, “The Lord your God decreed this disaster for this place...But today I am freeing you from the chains on your wrists. Come with me to Babylon, if you like, and I will look after you; but if you do not want to, then don’t come. Look, the whole country lies before you; go wherever you please”(Jeremiah 40:2, 4). Some times our destiny is found in the disaster. Obstacles open up opportunities we otherwise would not see on our own. Those trials, hurts, regrets, obstacles, uncertainties, guilt, and heartbreak come to lift us up out of our comfort zone and catapult us into what He has prepared for our lives that is exceedingly abundantly more than we could ask or think.
REflection from Divine Time Management
Today’s message from “Divine Time Management” encourages us to “Commit to loving others with your time right now. Two powerful ways to do so is through peacemaking and through pointing the finger… at yourself.” Let us REmember as we go about today and each day that God is love. Let us take time to love others, for what we give off we will REceive in REturn. In situations that may cause us to BE hurt, frustrated, or angered by another, let us look to ourselves instead for REsolve and bring peace to the matter, for the only person we have control over is ourselves. We are REsponsible for our REsponse. In some situations, no REsponse is the BEst REsponse. As with the other lessons from today, what man may bring to harm you, God will work for your good. Seek the blessing in the lesson.
