There is nothing greater than love
“For this reason I kneel before the Father, from whom every family in heaven and on earth derives its name. I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the Lord's holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.” Ephesians 3:14-19
Today’s devotional speaks to the “Extent of God’s Love”. It begins by introducing us to Paul’s letter to the Ephesians, telling about the magnitude of God’s love. The writer says, “This letter could've been written to each and every one of us. When we feel Christ's indwelling in our hearts, we can experience true power, and true love.” May we all seek Him to be able to experience this unconditional and overflowing love that is exceedingly and abundantly more than (wo)man could ever attempt to provide.
Reflection from You Are Not Alone
Today’s message from “You Are Not Alone” introduces us to Nebuchadnezzar. The introduction says, “Nebuchadnezzar, whom Jeremiah described as ‘God’s servant’ (Jeremiah 25:9), was the king of Babylon from 605 to 582 B.C. Many Old Testament authors referencing Nebuchadnezzar inform their readers that God used him to punish Israel for their sins.” We find later that Nebuchadnezzar had an inflated ego and pride. As a result, our Father humbled him, but still kept him. For 7 years, Nebuchadnezzar was sub-human, roaming the fields, yet God protected him and restored him after such a time.
There is nothing we will go T.H.R.O.U.G.H. (Trials, Hurt, Regret, Obstacles, Uncertainty, Guilt, Heartbreak) that our Father will not keep us and bring us through.
1 Peter 4:8
