There is purpose in our pain

“We died and were buried with Christ by baptism. And just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glorious power of the Father, now we also may live new lives.” Romans 6:4

We each have “New Life” as the title of today’s devotional says. The message reminds us, “The entire human race is living on borrowed time…. Jesus died and took the full wrath of a righteous God upon himself so that our death sentences would no longer be ours to serve.” Romans 6:4 shares, “We died and were buried with Christ by baptism. And just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glorious power of the Father, now we also may live new lives.” Let us never take for granted the love Christ has for us, and the opportunity He has provided each of us to live for His sacrifice to die. May we never take any moment for granted, for our lives were paid for by His ultimate sacrifice.

Reflection from Choosing Gratitude

The message from “Choosing Gratitude” speaks to how we do so “In Pain”. The writer begins by quoting Tim Keller who says, “Suffering is unbearable if you aren’t certain that God is for you and with you....suffering is actually at the heart of the Christian story." The message goes on to help us see, “Pain is a teacher, if we let her in. And like all good teachers, we often hunt them down, many years later, and say: Thank you.“ We are then provided 3 truths to be grateful for: God is with us in our struggles. (Matthew 28:20) God is FOR us when it seems all else is against us. (Romans 8:31) God will carry us THROUGH our pain. (Isaiah 43:1-3) Know that though piercing and present, there is purpose for our pain.

Job 19:25

He was, is, and will always live, guide, and protect you and me.🙏🏽💚🦋🌈

There is purpose in our pain, my friend.
