Daily Devotional for March 7, 2021
“Jesus said to him, ‘Stand up, take your mat and walk’.”John 5:8 NRSV
As I REad today’s devotional a song by John P. Kee immediately came to mind, “Never Shall Forget”. Some memories in life are meant to keep us forward, focused, and following in faith (and not fear) in our ministry. This morning’s devotional speaks about Jesus healing the man who was cripple for many years. Osteen writes that Jesus said, “Take the thing that held you back for years with you as a reminder of what I’ve done in your life.” For me it is my book, for someone else it is a picture, and for others a scar, but those things are to serve as REminders of God’s grace towards us. Again, like the cripple man who was then able to help others, that thing serves as a memory, the testimony for us and others. If He did it BEfore, He can and will do it again. May grace and gratitude keep us along this JOurneY.
Nehemiah 13
As we work to do God’s will, let us always work to keep the sabbath day holy (Nehemiah 13:22 NRSV).
REflection from Restoration: Deluxe Bible Plan
In this life we know we will go T.H.R.O.U.G.H. (Trials, Hurt, Regrets, Obstacles, Uncertainty, Guilt, Heartbreak) trials, but as Lecrae states, “The beautiful thing about trials is that it is in the midst of suffering, our foundations are tested and we see what remains standing...Our God is the same yesterday, today, and forever.” I encourage you to REcite this pray from today’s devotional aloud: “Lord, I cry out desperately to You today. I cannot carry these burdens on my own. You are my rock and my foundation. I surrender to You and to Your will. Go before me, Lord, and I will follow.” Amen 🙏🏽
