Daily Devotional for June 15, 2021

“Devise your strategy, but it will be thwarted; propose your plan, but it will not stand, for God is with us.” Isaiah 8:10

The title of today’s message from Osteen is “His Purpose Stands”. May we always REmember that no weapon formed against us shall prosper (Isaiah 54:7), and as today’s message explains, nothing in our lives is a surprise to God. As Osteen says, “People don’t determine your destiny; God does.” Take a moment to look at where you are today? Was this where you expected to be? Ok, maybe you did, but did all things get you to where you are according to your plan? That’s God. Somewhere along life’s JOurneY you encountered challenges or naysayers, yet God had a purpose, but just as important, a plan for your life. REmain forward, focused, and following in faith (and not fear) and favor—greater is coming, and all things will work for your good.

Genesis 12

As with Abram, God has to make us uncomfortable with the comfortable. We may have to leave what is familiar to us to BE used by Him. Genesis 12:3 the Lord says, “I will make you into a great nation, and I will bless you; I will make your name great, and you will be a blessing. I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse; and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you.” Let us go where He leads and prepare to do His deeds. Take bold steps in faith this day and each day as Christ directs you.

REflection from All Things Are Possible

We all have different capacities, but we all can BE used by God. Meyer emphasizes in today’s message, “The more we understand and are amazed that the Holy Spirit is with us and in us, the more determined we will be to take daring steps of faith and the less likely we’ll be to give up easily. We should know that with God, we can do whatever He asks us to do.” Let us REcall that with God, all things are possible. Take the first step; He’s right there with you—in front, leading the way, beside your as your guide, and behind you protecting you and keeping you from falling.
