We should love all but we don’t have to live with all
Allowing
Today Kundtz makes this statement: “But the fact is there are people who will hurt you if you let them. To put it in extreme, but clear, language: sadists find masochists.” He then goes on to say, “Even though forgiveness is a spiritual goal, ‘to forgive,’ as Jack Kornfield says, ‘does not mean we will allow injustice again.’ Saying, ‘No. This can't go on. I won't allow it. Just stop it’ is often the first step in stopping an injustice.” As we talked about boundaries yesterday, it is ok to never let some individuals back into your space, mentally or physically. We don’t always get closure from individuals who hurt us, but we can close the door to any type of access they have to avoid being triggered or to face injustice by them again.
Philippians 2:2 reads, “Make my joy complete: be of the same mind, having the same love, being in full accord and of one mind.” I once heard, “if you can’t change the people around you, change the people around you.” We are responsible for our own happiness. We can’t heal where we were hurt with the one(s) who hurt us.
Small Straws Scripture: John 15:12
This is My commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you.
We may not like individuals and need boundaries and have differing opinions, but let us work to love others regardless with respect for Christ.
Youversion Verse of the Day: Isaiah 53:5
But he was wounded for our transgressions, crushed for our iniquities; upon him was the punishment that made us whole, and by his bruises we are healed.
He suffered His life at the hands of others so we don’t have to endure the same. Let us live our best lives in Christ without sacrificing ourselves and our love.
We should love all but we don’t have to live with all, my friend.🙏🏽💚🦋🌈
