Daily Devotional for August 5, 2021
“Thereafter, Hagar used another name to refer to the Lord, who had spoken to her. She said, “You are the God who sees me.” She also said, “Have I truly seen the One who sees me?””
Genesis 16:13 NLT
This morning we are encouraged by Osteen that we are never alone and our Father sees and knows. “He sees every injustice, every wrong, every tear, every bad break.” As stated in Genesis 16:13, He is the God who sees. He takes everything personally about us, for we are His children. He is the great I Am.
Leviticus 13
Leviticus 13 REminds us that our bodies are truly temples. Not only must we take care of what is within us, but we must BE mindful of our outer body, BEing conscious of our hair, skin, and clothing. Let us work to BE healthy, clean and presentable to the Father, and not carriers of illnesses or disease of which we can control. So timely with all that us going on with Covid and the Delta variant. Take care of you which will in turn take care for others.
REflection from Awesome God: Midyear Prayer And Fasting
The final message from “Awesome God: Midyear Prayer And Fasting” tells us that those things on this earth that we consider strong and hard are things that still won’t last. The text says, “You can cut a diamond with another diamond. Strong rains cause landslides so even a mighty mountain can break. Heavy equipment can cut through steel and rocks.” Psalms 136:1-4 provides an explanation of the only thing in this life that endures and lasts forever and that is love, and God is love. We can always depend on Him and it.
Psalm 130:5
Patience in the Lord produces prosperity in our lives, for He will do just what He said. 🙏🏽💚🦋🌈
