Daily Devotional for August 6, 2021

“Great and marvelous are your works, O Lord God, the Almighty. Just and true are your ways, O King of the nations” Revelation‬ ‭15:3‬ ‭NLT‬‬

The scripture from Osteen’s message this morning says, “Great and marvelous are your works, O Lord God, the Almighty. Just and true are your ways, O King of the nations” (Revelation‬ ‭15:3‬ ‭NLT‬‬). Our Father is marvelous, just, and true. I don’t know about you, but as in this moment, I go through periods of REflection. At first I thought I was just randomly awake after REsting so soundly, but I know that Everything God Ordains (E.G.O.). It was in His will for me to BE awakened right now and REad this devotional. As of REcent, a number of people have inquired about my new position in a new location, and my REsponse has BEen the same: “I LOVE MY JOB!” However, after REading this morning’s devotional by Osteen, I REalize from REflection that in Osteen’s terms, “God is balancing my books.” The text said, “Don’t complain about that trouble; that difficulty set you up for double… He’s about to balance some books. He’s about to settle your accounts.” God has and continues to do just that in my life. My divorce hasn’t made me bitter; it has truly made me better—spiritually , mentally, emotionally, physically, and financially. First and foremost, my trust and faith in God has BEen strengthened and developed in ways I never would have imagined. I have had a mindset shift REalizing that God will work everything for my good. I have BEcome more in tune to my feelings and not ignoring them, but allowing myself to feel what I need to feel, and truly BE ok with me.

Physically, I have REalized the importance for taking time for me, and REmembering my body is a temple. And financially, God has proven to me that if I just give Him 10% of all that He has blessed me to have, He will Ephesians 3:20 my life, blessing me exceedingly abundantly more than I can ever ask or think. I have paid off debt, I have BEen promoted twice, with two salary increases, I have two residences, and I have a business and book that are creating new REvenue streams. Yet, it took a setback, a disappointment, a loss for me to win. Thanks BE to God for a perspective shift, and not my plan, but His plan for my life. I’m grateful that I trusted Him, that I was obedient and truly stepped out on faith into the unknown.

Leviticus 14

Let us REmember that our bodies are temples. Leviticus 14 REminds us that our skin serves as a protective shield, and as temples, we must keep even our outermost parts in a manner that is clean and acceptable. As with everything else in this life, we must go through REstoration for it if something comes against it.

REflection from The Spiritual Life of a Leader by Boyd Bailey

This morning we BEgin a new devotional, “The Spiritual Life of a Leader” by Boyd Bailey. Bailey BEgins with this scripture from John 15:1 which says, “I am the true vine, and my Father is the gardner.” Bailey speaks to how Jesus describes Himself as the true vine, the only real option to obtain life. He then says, “A leader may learn a skill, hone his craft or develop her giftedness, but the vine of self only leads to exhaustion - even burnout - for a believer striving in the fallible flesh… Only trust in the true vine of Jesus infuses spiritual life into a leader.“ In all that we do both personally and professionally, we must REly on God to lead us to and through life how He desires not only for ourselves, but for those around us with whom we lead, guide, direct, and nurture. Nothing can separate us from God, especially not the work that He has given us the talents to do.

Isaiah 43:2

Let us choose Christ, for we will never walk alone with Him. 🙏🏽💚🦋🌈

Faith it this Friday, my friend.
