Daily Devotional for May 20, 2021
The more they afflicted them, the more they multiplied and grew. Exodus 1:12 NKJV
Perspective is key in this life. BE encouraged even in adversity, for as Osteen mentioned in today’s devotional, “Sometimes when God wants to promote you, He doesn’t send you a good break; He sends you an enemy.... we grow under pressure, our character is developed, and we discover talent that we didn’t know we had.“ It takes pressure to birth life. What is inside you that needs to BE REleased? We may BE tried in the fire, but (BEcause of the pressure) we’re coming out gold!
Acts 14
Like Paul and Barnabas REmind us in Acts 14:22, “Anyone signing up for the kingdom of God has to go through plenty of hard times.” A life with Christ comes with ups and downs, rises and falls, but one thing is for certain, He works everything for our good.
REflection from Starting Your Day Right Devotional
I have found that nothing is truly fulfilling or satisfying unless it comes from the Father. Meyer speaks to this in today’s message saying, “Many people pursue possessions and awards to satisfy their inner need for contentment. But we can be fully satisfied in lean times and in times of abundance, whether we abase or abound (see Philippians 4:12), when we learn to enjoy fellowship with the Lord as soon as we wake up.” My mind just went to the words in an old Folgers coffee commercial which said, “The best part of waking up is Folgers in your cup.” I beg to differ. Truly the BEst part of waking up is knowing God is there and REady to REceive our first waking moments to convene with Him. Peace is always BEing in His presence.
Psalm 37:4
The prayers you once prayed you can live in when you choose Christ. 🙏🏽💚🦋🌈
