Daily Devotional for May 21, 2021
But this [great pressure, far beyond our ability to endure] happened that we might not rely on ourselves but on God… 2 Corinthians 1:9
This morning’s message by Osteen talks about pressure. When we are hurt and try to stop a wound from bleeding, we apply pressure. In the same manner, Osteen speaks about the enemy and how “he puts you under pressure, he thinks it’s going to stop you.” However, as we spoke about yesterday, pressure produces promotion and growth. Osteen encourages us this day, “When you feel restricted, when you face opposition, don’t be discouraged. Get ready to shoot out. Get ready for new levels. Get ready for promotion. That pressure is not going to stop you; it’s going to increase you.” Push T.H.R.O.U.G.H. (Trials, Hurt, Regrets, Obstacles, Uncertainty, Guilt, Heartbreak) to progress to your promotion.
Acts 15
When pressure comes upon us from the enemy, As in Acts 15:9, Peter speaks to how God treated the outsiders just as He did His follower, and goes further to say, in the same manner, we should do for non-believers, and not try to “out-god God, loading these new believers down with rules that crushed our ancestors and crushed us, too.” God’s grace is sufficient for you, me, and our enemies.
REflection from Starting Your Day Right Devotional
Each and every day I try to BE a willing vessel for God, striving to do His will, sharing His way, and giving freely to others as we all go along life’s JOurneY. Joyce Meyer says, “We are anointed to bless people as Jesus did. God has given us the strength, ability, and power to do awesome works in His name.” May we, like Christ, BE an example for others to follow doing for others in servant leadership each day.
Philippians 1:6
Our Father is not the “Take Back Man”. Whatever He BEgins in us He will see through, but it is up to me and you. Where is your faith? 🙏🏽💚🦋🌈
Focus on your Father’s favor towards you this Friday, my friend.
