Stay the course with Christ
“If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.” 1 Corinthians 5:17
Today’s devotional is titled “A New Creation” and BEgins with 1 Corinthians 5:17 which says, “If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.” The message today focused on a young woman who was incarcerated and never imagined herself in that situation and had not and couldn’t REst at night. The writer says, “It’s hard to sleep when guilt and shame are crushing the breath from you.” Like the young woman, let us all BE REminded that God’s love, mercy, and grace can help and comfort us through anything life brings our way. Never give up, only give in to Him.
REflection from While We are Waiting by Leading and Loving It
Liz Sarno provides another great message this morning in the “While We Wait” series. She says, “Every season of life brings something new—a lesson to be learned. We just have to discover what the purpose is. We might walk through the waiting thinking something is being kept from us, but we really need to recognize that the purpose for the waiting is to put something in us, something we could not get any other way.“ Let us always learn that God has the perfect plan for our lives. Therefore, we must learn to trust His process and learn to identify the lessons along the way, or know in faith and past experiences that blessings and lessons will BE REvealed in time.
