We have been granted a new day, make the most of it with Christ

May the God who gives endurance and encouragement give you the same attitude of mind toward each other that Christ Jesus had, so that with one mind and one voice you may glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. Romans 15:5-6

We all have “One Voice” as the title of today’s message, but we have a mightier voice when we are united as one in Christ. Today’s devotional says, “Often, God's mode of communication is through other believers. This is one more reason why it is so vital that we live harmoniously together, pursuing peace and having grace. Just like when were singing a song with others, we each have our own part but we blend voices to sing together with one united voice.” May we strive daily to be a voice for Christ, but live at peace and giving grace to our brothers and sisters in unity. That is my wish this morning for my birthday.

Today we begin “SoulSister: Renewing Your Soul with the Word of God” by Tiamarie Arnold. Arnold says, we must “Find Rest”. She goes on to say, “The only way to enter a spiritual rest is by trusting in God. Our soul is where the spiritual battles are taking place. There is a constant pulling of thoughts, emotions, and wills. When we trust, pray, and wait on God, we will find rest for our soul.” When is the last time you truly let go and let God? Find a day in the near future and truly plan to rest. Rest in Him and give everything to Him, beginning an internal renewal process for yourself.

Isaiah 26:4

Trust in the Lord, always for He is our foundation, our rock that we can always depend on.
