Know Whose you are and believe in His miracle working power

Your beauty should not come from outward adornment, such as elaborate hairstyles and the wearing of gold jewelry or fine clothes. Rather, it should be that of your inner self,the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God’s sight. 1 Peter3:3-4

There is a saying that beauty is only skin deep, but when we are in Christ, that is not the case. Today’s message speaks to temporary beauty saying, “We are constantly bombarded with images and messages of what beauty is and what it should be…. The awful truth about outward beauty is that no matter how much time, attention, and investment you put into it, beauty can never really last.… the concept of adorning the hidden person of the heart sounds almost make-believe. But what it comes down to is the truth that the most important opinion we should seek is the opinion of our Creator.” There is an inner beauty that is developed when we walk with Christ that permeates outward and never fades. May we focus on maintaining our inward beauty that will last beyond our youthful years.

The final step of the “7 Steps to Renew Your Mind” is to “Expect Miracles”. The final message says, “Expecting something good to happen is a choice. It is an act of our faith. A person with a renewed mind has positive expectations in the forefront of their mind.… Expectations are a breeding place for miracles.“ We are responsible for our own happiness and faith in the Father creates miracles. Let us not have expectations of others to make things happen for us. Our expectations in our lives should be that with God all things are possible—we must believe, and it will be achieved in His timing for our lives.

Romans 12:1
