Be patient and wait well for the reward shall be reaped
The poor will see and be glad—you who seek God, may your hearts live! Psalm 69:32
Today’s message is titled “The Chalkboard”. The writer talks about how when the board is washed and wet it must be dried off in order to see the writing. The message says, “This is how our faith can be at times. It sometimes feels like it has been wiped clear and we feel hazy just like that wet chalkboard. But God has begun to write and draw in this space. Have patience in these times because what is about to appear is beautiful, clear, and bold.” We cannot always see the work the Father is doing to prepare us or prepare something or even someone for our lives. It even seems like sometimes we are drowning in frustration. However, let us continue to trust in the Lord, for we see that some situations must run dry for us to eventually see what He has for you and me.
Reflection from SoulSister: Renewing Your Soul With the Word of God
Today’s message from SoulSister: Renewing Your Soul With the Word of God, the message is titled “Sweet to the Soul”. The writer says, “It’s easy to take offense when someone says or does something to you that you feel you don’t deserve. Our soul, in those situations, wants to do the natural thing: take offense and clap back.… The Bible teaches us about seedtime and harvest. In situations where we must make a choice on what type of seed we are going to sow, sowing kind words will result in reaping a sweet soul and a healthy body.” It is important to remember, you can never take back words spoken and when arguing, as the saying goes, it’s not easy to determine who’s the fool. Let us therefore be meek in these situations so we actually reap from the situations.
