Lean on the Lord in leadership
That is why I did not even consider myself worthy to come to you. But say the word, and my servant will be healed. Luke 7:7
Today’s message from “Daily Strength for Women” speaks about BEing “In Charge”. It says, “Most of us like to think were in control of situations... But no matter how good it feels to be in charge, there are times when we are relieved to give it up…. We often spin our wheels trying to make things turn out the way we think they should. Relinquishing control can be gut-wrenching. But it can also be a huge relief and a giant leap toward rest.“ Is it time for you to focus on REst and not working for everything to BE just right? Let go and let God, but let others lead too. A true leader is a servant, working to do for others; sometimes that doing for others means giving them the opportunity to take control. We must set boundaries for ourselves in life, to include when to lead, follow, or get out of the way. Take time to REst, REset, to BE REjuvenated, my friend; the world won’t come to and end.
REflection from Born to Lead by Deborah Smith Pegues
In today’s message from “Born to Lead”, Deborah Smith Hughes speaks to how REsistence and Persistence often work hand in hand in our lives, particularly with leadership. She says, “Both resilience and persistence are important because one must not only recover from a setback but have the endurance to continue and not give up.” She goes further to REcommend the following when adversity rears its head: “Maintain a good attitude; believe in the God who resides within you; rely on your support network; don’t be overly critical of yourself; don’t be afraid to accept responsibility; and don’t neglect self-care.” When we do this we must also REmember what’s spoken in Philippians 4:13, “I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.” Nothing is to hard for Christ, so let us give every situation to Him, for He can do all things but fail.
James 4:17
Let us strive to do what’s right and not go against Christ.🙏🏽💚🦋🌈
