Leaving the elementary teaching about the Christ, let us press on to maturity, not laying again a foundation of repentance from dead works and of faith toward God, of instruction about washings and laying on of hands, and the resurrection of the dead and eternal judgment. Hebrews 6:1-2
A question is posed at the end of today’s devotional “Move Forward” and asks, “What has freed up in your life as a result of renewing your focus on the Lord and your personal progress?” The message also includes these questions to consider: “What do you know you should be doing, instead of looking for an enlightened viewpoint on a well-covered topic? Where are you in need of growth for maturity? Where did you stop obeying a command of God in order to placate a person or take a detour?” It’s time for reflection so that we, ourselves, do not become a hindrance to what could be and hold us back from where God wants us to be. We must really just God’s process for our lives. Know that He has plans to prosper us and not to harm us. Look at where you are in the moment to see where He has brought you from, and where you currently stand in order to get you to your next destination. Preparation is always in place. Embrace and seize the opportunity, for He’s always moving and moving you forward in life.
Reflection from Thrive: Mom Devotional Series Part 1: The Mindset to Thrive
Today we begin another series titled “Thrive: Mom Devotional Series Part 1: The Mindset to Thrive”. Day 1’s focus is “You Need Your Helmet On: Why a Rockin' Mindset Is Key to Rockin' Mom Life”. The text reminds us, “See, as moms, we're not just spiritual beings—we're tripartite beings, made up of spirit, soul (that's our mind!), and body. So, to thrive in everything we do, we gotta start with our minds.“ As we prepare for the day, we must continue to put on the whole armour of God, and most importantly, the helmet, for our mindset sets the standard. As the writer says, “Our thoughts matter, mama! The enemy loves to whisper lies in our ears, trying to convince us that we're not enough, that we'll never measure up, or that we lack what it takes to handle the challenges of motherhood and life. But guess what? We've got our helmets on, and those thoughts don't stand a chance!” So, buckle it up buttercup! Mind over any matter we have each day. We are conquerors and more than capable to accomplish what we set out to do.
