You are stronger than you give yourself credit for when you are in the Savior

Their insults have broken my heart, and I am in despair. If only one person would show some pity; if only one would turn and comfort me. Psalm 69:20

The kids saying “Sticks and stones may break my bones, but names will never hurt me” is highlighted in today’s devotional. As a child words sting, and in adulthood because of lived experiences combined with untruths and mean spirited individuals, words can be piercing and painful. Yet today’s message from “Daily Strength for Women” speaks to “Empty Stares” we receive because of hurt from others, but encourages us to “Be thankful, today, for those people in your life who you know would be the ones to stand up for you in your times of greatest shame.” Take time out to check on your strong friends today, but also thank those friends who have been there to help with your wounds.

Reflection from Thrive Mom Devotional Series

Day 2 of the “Thrive Mom Devotional Series” speaks to “Mind Protection 101: Shielding Our Mom Minds from the Sneaky Sneaky Enemy”. The writer begins, “We're smack in the middle of a spiritual showdown, a battle of epic proportions! Picture it: unseen battlegrounds, good versus evil, and our minds right in the crosshairs.” The text goes on to say, “There are some pesky factors that can get in the way of us rocking that helmet (of salvation) and leave our minds vulnerable to the enemy's sneak attacks.” These are ignorance, pride, a sense of inadequacy, and unworthiness. Let us always work to protect our minds, and know in Christ, He will keep us in perfect peace and equipped with what we need to walk with Him and accomplish what He has for you and me.

John 14:26

We don’t need a genie in a bottle, for there is a small voice within us that has the power to do whatever and protect us from whatever comes to harm us; just listen. 🙏🏽💚🦋🌈

You are stronger than you give yourself credit for when you are in the Savior, my friend.
