Daily Devotional for October 13, 2020

Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective. ‭‭James‬ ‭5:16‬ ‭NIV‬‬

May we always REmember that Everything God Ordains (E.G.O.). Tests and trials come into our lives to make us stronger. Not only do they strengthen us, but they serve as opportunities for us to BE used by God to help someone else along the way. As we go T.H.R.O.U.G.H. (Trials, Hurt, REgrets, Obstacles, Uncertainty, Guilt, Heartbreak) our storms, “Don’t just look for your miracle. Become someone’s miracle...for one of the tests you have to pass is being good to others in the midst of your storm”, as charged by Osteen. This life is not about us, but it’s about Him. May we minimize our ego and focus on E.G.O..

Deuteronomy 30

Nothing in life can separate us from the love of Jesus the Christ. Now we may stray, but we are always welcomed back time and time again (if necessary). “The Lord our God will restore our fortunes and have compassion on us...He will gather years and bring us back...and make us more prosperous...in all the work of our hands...The Lord will again delight in us.” (Deuteronomy‬ ‭30:3‬-5, 9)

During our blessings and battles in life we may BEcome overwhelmed in our minds, but the right perspective will allow us to see it as overflow of what God planned for our lives. With all that we encounter, may we REmember “He will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in Him.” (Isaiah‬ ‭26:3‬)

Proverbs 27:6

May we walk in truth and use tough love with those around us, for when we REspond in true love, which is of God, time will heal the wounds. But when we don’t speak in truth the wounds will fester. We cannot heal or help others if we don’t REveal. 🙏🏽💚🦋🌈

Take time to treat yourself and your heart tenderly this Tuesday, my friend.
