Daily Devotional for January 23, 2021
“The Lord said, “Go out and stand on the mountain in the presence of the Lord, for the Lord is about to pass by.”
1 Kings 19:11 NIV
Similar to Esther, Joseph, Elijah, and others (including you and me), when we are in a dark place, God uses us to shine light upon others. 1 King 19:11, says, “The Lord said, ‘Go out and stand on the mountain in the presence of the Lord, for the Lord is about to pass by.’” Even when we are going T.H.R.O.U.G.H. (Trials, Hurt, Regrets, Obstacles, Uncertainty, Guilt, Heartbreak) God expects us to stand boldly in faith with Him. As Job said, “Though they slay me, yet will I trust in him” (Job 13:15). No matter what we may go through and no matter who may come against us, we must stand as willing vessels, sharing with others the word and the will of God through our life’s JOurneY.
This devotional is so timely. As I lie awake in bed at this hour, I noticed I REceived a communication from my editor that says I am one step away from my book being fully completed! REading this devotional put so much in perspective for me at such a time as this. As with Osteen’s devotional, during my darkest hours, God has used me to stand boldly with Him to (as my life coach says) “Share the JOY” that He has REstored in my life through my JOurneY of transformation through confirmation. I ask to be used as a willing vessel, and He has done just that. Even in our valley lows, may they BE the experiences others need to witness how God can work all things for our good and others come to trust Him more.
Jeremiah 48
Though destruction was upon Moab in Jeremiah 48, as in the final verse (47), the Lord declares, “Yet I will restore the fortunes of Moab in days to come.” No matter what may come upon our lives, God is a god of REstoration.
REflection from 21 Days of Prayer & Fasting: The Sauce
I am learning more and more how to BE still, BE patient, and REspond and not REact to things in life, for as the scripture from John 16:13 says, “But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all the truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come.” In all things, we should wait on the Lord and allow Him to move in us to where He is leading and directing us along life’s JOurneY; for His timing is perfect and everything He ordains so that all things work in our favor. Let us trust and BElieve with Him, the BEst is yet to come.
Jeremiah 29:11
Our ideas and imagination cannot compare to His plans for our lives for He promises to bless us immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine. 🙏🏽💚🦋🌈
Success is in sight this Saturday, my friend.
