Daily Devotional for July 19, 2021
“And as they led him away, they seized one Simon of Cyrene, who was coming in from the country, and laid on him the cross, to carry it behind Jesus.” Luke 23:26 ESV
My brothers and siSTARS, as we BEgin a new week, let us BE of good courage. As we go along life’s JOurneY, there will BE times when we are overwhelmed and cannot seem to go one. But let us REmember as Osteen highlights this morning, “When Jesus was carrying the cross to Calvary, He collapsed under its weight… You don’t have to be strong all the time… There will always be someone there to help you.” Whether physically through (wo)man or spiritually, you never walk alone. God always protects and provides.
Genesis 46
As Jacob brings his family to Egypt, and Jacob and Joseph REunited, again, we see in Genesis 46, with God, we never walk alone.
REflection from Living Changed: Conversations with God
Today we take part in the devotional series “Living Changed: Conversations with God”. Changed Women’s Ministries says, “The purpose of prayer is to grow closer in relationship with God.” I have to be honest, growing up I only prayed when I needed something or hurt. Now, I have come to REalize that prayer is the intentional time that I have with the Greatest friend—the one who is omnipresent, always attentive, and can truly help me with anything. I find myself engaging in conversation throughout the day, whereas before it was all routine, right before bed, if then. I encourage you, my brother and siSTAR, create a comfortable, candid conversation commitment to the One who can and always will be there for you, particularly when you are awake at night with no one or nowhere to turn.
Psalm 105:1
In everything, give thanks. 🙏🏽💚🦋🌈
Move with the Master this Monday, my friend.
