Daily Devotional for November 30, 2020
Am I now seeking human approval, or God's approval? Or am I trying to please people? If I were still pleasing people, I would not be a servant of Christ. Galatians 1:10
Last night I held a session with a small group of ladies where I led the discussion on “Manifest Your Passion and Purpose”. The focus was on the return on investment when we choose ourselves. I encouraged each of them to get REal with themselves and REminded them that if they aren’t able to BE honest with themselves they will never BE able to BE honest with anyone else. From there I encouraged them to think about REvealing to themselves what they’ve BEen allowing to fester and heal from within. What are the things that they’ve allowed to lie dormant? I encouraged them over the last few days of 2020 to REassess and prepare to REnovate their lives to work towards fulfilling their passion and purpose.
As with Osteen’s message this morning, it’s time for us to turn the page. “God has arranged a comeback for every setback, a vindication for every wrong, and a new beginning for every disappointment.” Not only that, today He has given us a new day with new beginnings, new blessings, new mercies, and new opportunities. What will we do with it for our return on investment for choosing ourselves and walking with Him?
Exodus 34
As we JOurneY along life’s glorious adventure, may we seek the Father and study His word for ourselves, not depending on others. May God’s light so shine upon us that we BE as Moses in Exodus 34:9, “If now I have found favor in your sight, O Lord, I pray, let the Lord go with us...pardon our iniquity and our sin, and take us for your inheritance.”
REflection from Reset Your Mind: Overhauling Your Thoughts
This morning’s entry from the series Reset Your Mind: Overhauling Your Thoughts, starts with a quote from Pastor Steven Furtick. “The thoughts you keep in a loop determine the direction of your life.” Are you constantly REplaying things from the past that are keeping you stagnant and defeated? Or do you think on those things that keep you forward, focused, and following in faith (and not fear) and favor? Perception is REality. Our thoughts BEcome our words, and our words BEcome our actions or deeds. We must ALWAYS think on those things that draw us closer to and keep us in Christ. Through good and bad, the JOY of the Lord is our strength. Change your mind change your life. You must speak life—abundant life over yourself and know in your Heart that God’s promises will come to pass.
Colossians 1:13
God has and continues to keep us when we cannot do for ourselves. May we REmain within His safety, protecting us from the seen and unseen that comes against us in this life. 🙏🏽💚🦋🌈
Move towards manifestation of those thoughts in your mind this Monday, my friend.
