Daily Devotional for November 29, 2020
Your eyes beheld my unformed substance. In your book were written all the days that were formed for me, when none of them as yet existed. Psalms 139:16
The title of Osteen’s message today is “The Grace You Need”. God gives us grace, but many times we don’t give ourselves grace—and I’m guilty. God gives me what I need when I need it, how I need it, BEcause it is all a part of His master plan for my life. You and I will have some low moments or even days, but it’s ok. There are going to BE days where we aren’t up to doing anything or BEing around anyone. That’s ok! It’s ok to just BE. BEing allows us time to REfocus and REflect. We have to work to do what Osteen speaks, “Shake off any self-pity and any bitterness...Don’t be pitiful when you are powerful.” Trials will come and we will experience some low valleys, but we will still come out victorious with grace BEcause of grace (and mercy). May we give a little to ourselves today.
Exodus 33
Our Father knows each of us. As stated in Exodus 33:12, He knows us by name and He have found favor with us. We know what He REquires of us. As we go about this glorious adventure, the Lord has promised, “My Presence will go with you, and I will give you rest...I will cause all my goodness to pass in front of you, and I will proclaim my name, the Lord, in your presence. I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion”(Exodus 33:14, 19). Let us feel His touch and His presence as we work T.H.R.O.U.G.H. (Trials, Hurt, REgrets, Obstacles, Uncertainty, Guilt, Heartbreak) and towards His plan and promises for our lives.
REflection from Reset Your Mind: Overhaul Toxic Thoughts
Today we BEgin a new plan from YouVersion entitled Reset Your Mind: Overhaul Toxic Thoughts. I’ve emphasized on various days if we change our thoughts we change our lives. The message today speaks of the Greek word for the word renewing, which is anakainōsis, and it literally means renovation. With a focus on Romans 12:2, the devotional states, “According to this verse, ‘Do not conform to the pattern of this world but be transformed by the renewing of our minds’, our transformation occurs when our mind undergoes a renovation.” As each day is a new day with new beginnings, new mercies, new blessings and new opportunities, we must work to BEgin again each day and allow a REnovation of our minds. May we focus on Romans 12:2 each day, and BE transformed by the REnewing of our minds as we give the first moments of our day to the Lord who has given us another chance to BEgin again.
Psalm 95:6
May we always REverence Him, and when we may not have the strength to stand, shall we fall on our knees for that is where every battle is won. 🙏🏽💚🦋🌈
