Daily Devotional for October 6, 2020
After Job had prayed for his friends, the Lord restored his fortunes and gave him twice as much as he had before. Job 42:10
When we let go and let God, when we truly forgive and forget the hurt and disappointment that comes with the storms of life, the Spirit of the Lord BEcomes evident, and we find liberty. My favorite phrase comes to mind this morning, and I have to add on to it. Let us REmain forward, focused and following in faith (and not fear) and favor in freedom from forgiveness.
Deuteronomy 23
Our word is our bond in this life with others and with our Father. “If we make a vow to the Lord our God, do not be slow to pay it, for the Lord our God will certainly demand it of us and we will be guilty of sin...Whatever our lips utter we must be sure to do, because we made a vow freely to the Lord our God with our own mouth.”
(Deuteronomy 23:21, 23) Let us commit our words and our ways to the Father.
Tony Evans writes, “Many of our lives lack direction because we are pursuing a purpose that is inconsistent with who God is and what He has created us to be.” Are you living for others and what they desire you to BE or BEcome? Are you focused on a profession for the pay and not your passion and purpose? I encourage you to continue to draw closer and closer to the Father. REmember, He has plans for you to prosper (Jeremiah 29:11). As we seek and search after God with all our hearts, God’s purposes and plans for us shall become clear (Jeremiah 29:13).
John 14:27
The gifts from our Father can never BE compared to earthly gifts, for His love, peace, and everything else surpasses all understanding. 🙏🏽💚🦋🌈
