Daily Devotional for October 7, 2020
Then the Lord spoke to Job out of the storm. Job 38:1
I am a true and living witness that “God knows how to shift the winds that were meant to destroy you and use them to increase you”, as stated by Joel Osteen in today’s devotional. I had to figure out how to endure my marriage ending, moving, losing my father, and BEing diagnosed with a medical condition all within the same timeframe. Experiencing one of those situations could have been devastating to someone. Yet I knew there was no way I could make it through alone, and I truly put my trust in the Father. All these things that looked to come against me, He used to strengthen me and lead me along His JOurneY for my life, creating doors of opportunities and unexpected blessings that I never would have experienced without the shift from the storms of life.
Deuteronomy 24
Deuteronomy 24:16 says each will die for their own sin, therefore, as in verse 13, may what we do along life’s JOurneY BE regarded as righteous acts in the sight of the Lord our God. May we strive each day to BE more like Him.
As we travel along life’s way, Tony Evans REminds us, “When our own lives seem directionless, we need to remember that our Heavenly Father has already meticulously drawn out the maps of our lives”, as found in Psalm 139:13-16. Confirmation of this is found in Jeremiah 29:11; He has plans for our lives to prosper us and not to harm us.
Each day when we rise and are able to BEgin again, may we give Him the honor and glory due to His unconditional love to allow us another opportunity to live through Him and for Him. Let us pray and meditate on His unlimited goodness towards us. 🙏🏽💚🦋🌈
Walk and witness about the Word this Wednesday, my friend.
