Daily Devotional for January 27, 2021

“for it is God who works in you to will and to act in order to fulfill his good purpose.”

‭‭Philippians‬ ‭2:13‬ ‭NIV‬‬

As I REad today’s devotional by Joel Osteen, I thought of two conversations I had last night. One was with a life coaching client, and the other was with a longtime friend. With the client, we talked about moving forward and how we don’t want to dwell in the past, but like a rear view mirror in the car, we want to BE able to REflect on it to see how far we’ve come along our JOurneY. Then with my classmate, I REminded him that what we are now living is what we prayed for sometime in our lives. Osteen spoke about how it is the dark places that developed his spiritual muscles. He said, “Even though I didn’t like what I was going through, being so uncomfortable forced me to stretch and grow. I wouldn’t change it for anything. It’s what makes us all better.” Those valley lows allow us to appreciate the victories and vindication that He works in our favor as we go about life.

Jeremiah 51

As we go T.H.R.O.U.G.H. (Trials, Hurt, Regrets, Obstacles, Uncertainty, Guilt, Heartbreak) “Do not lose heart or be afraid when rumors are heard ... for the Lord is a God of retribution; he will repay in full” (Jeremiah 51:46 and 56).

‭‭REflections from 21 Days of Prayer & Fasting: The Sauce

Today’s message from 21 Days of Prayer & Fasting: The Sauce asked to “What is God speaking to you today about His love? How will your growth in understanding God’s love for us affect those around you?

What commitment will you make today to become more aware of God’s love and to love others?” God always gives us confirmation in the things we pray about. Sometimes His answers can be perfectly clear, and then other times we have to use discernment. A prayer I prayed just last night was answered this morning through this devotional. 1 Corinthians 13:4 says, “Love is patient...”. I know that God is going to confirm my forever love, I just have to continue to BE patient and continue to patiently work and love on me, for I must love myself completely, because no one but the Father can do the same. As I wholeheartedly love myself others will see and experience the love God has for me and desires to give to all of us.

Matthew 5:7

May we use the power BEstowed upon us not to punish those who wrong us, but let us use compassion as Christ would to BE further blessed and BE an example for others to follow. 🙏🏽💚🦋🌈

May worship BE your weapon when you are weak or witnessing this Wednesday, my friend.
