Daily Devotional for January 26, 2021
“I will be glad and rejoice in your love, for you saw my affliction and knew the anguish of my soul.”. Psalms 31:7 NIV
Joel Osteen REminds us this morning that it’s not the good times that bring out the BEst in us during our faith walk with Christ. He says, “God is working something out in your life that can only be worked in the fire of affliction.” From our temperature BEing raise through heated arguments to heartache and pain that runs rampant in times of loneliness, God uses those for us to call on Him and depend on Him for there is no one else and nowhere to turn. He places us in these places of discomfort alone so that we REalize we don’t need anyone but Him to help us T.H.R.O.U.G.H. (Trials, Hurt, Regrets, Obstacles, Uncertainty, Guilt, Heartbreak) and come to understand the purpose for out pain.
Jeremiah 50
Let us not become too confident in this life, but REmain humble growing GODfident in the spirit. For with Babylon in Jeremiah 50:31-32, our Father is against arrogance, and with it the Lord Almighty says, “For your day has come, the time for you to be punished. The arrogant one will stumble and fall and no one will help her up; I will kindle a fire in her towns that will consume all who are around her.” Let our souls BE set ablaze BEcause of the Father within us, and not BEcause of His disappoint in us.
REflection from 21 Days of Prayer & Fasting: The Sauce
From today’s focus from 21 Days for Prayer & Fasting: The Sauce, I BElieve God is providing me with a REminder of what I prayed about for many years, but I finally activated my faith on that has brought me to where I am now. I prayed almost four years ago the words from one of the scriptures in today’s message, Psalms 51:10-12. It REads, “Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me. Do not cast me from your presence or take your Holy Spirit from me. Restore to me the joy of your salvation and grant me a willing spirit, to sustain me.”
Yet it didn’t dawn on me until this morning where I REalize that this is a call and REsponse RElationship with God. Now He has answered my prayer and kept His word to me, but I must ensure that I give freely to Him as in verse 13, which says, “Then I will teach transgressors your ways, so that sinners will turn back to you.” May I strive to have a pure heart giving to others as freely as He has given to me, using my time, talents, and treasures, but most importantly my testimony.
2 Corinthians 4:18
We have a vision for what we desire, but with our focus set on Him in faith, He will give us our destiny. 🙏🏽💚🦋🌈
Let trembling and trepidation turn to triumphs and testimonies through trusting Thee this Tuesday, my friend.
