Daily Devotional for February 1, 2021

“Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.”

‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭43:18-19‬ ‭KJV‬

When we are children we memorize songs and bible verses, but it’s not until adulthood (many times) we truly BEgin to truly understand and comprehend their meaning. As I REad Osteen’s message this morning, I immediately thought of Psalms 23, and memorizing it as a little girl and now experiencing it as a woman. The Lord has truly BEen my shepherd, my protector, leading me along the way. T.H.R.O.U.G.H. (Trials, Hurt, Regrets, Obstacles, Uncertainty, Guilt, Heartbreak) the valley low experiences He kept me, and now my cup is overflowing. As Osteen says, “If you’ll go through the valley, trusting, believing, knowing that God is in control, you’ll come to the table prepared for you...”. With all that He has done just in the first month of 2021, I know goodness and mercy will continue to follow me.

Galatians 1

As we enter into this second month of 2021, I pray, “Grace be to you and peace from God the Father, and from our Lord Jesus Christ” (Galatians‬ ‭1:3‬ ‭KJV‬‬).

REflection from 21 Days of Prayer & Fasting: The Sauce

As I REad today’s message from 21 Days of Prayer & Fasting: The Sauce, the lyrics to Donald Lawrence’s song God’s Favor came to my mind and I started to recite them in my head, but then I wanted to REad more about favor. I found an article, “10 Keys to Obtaining the Favor of God” by Ward Simpson. Simpson is quoted as saying, “God’s favor is for a purpose. When He favors you, it’s not for you to sit upon, but to do something with. You receive blessing so you can be a blessing!” I pray that I have and continue to DO what God would have me to with what He blesses me with, no matter how little or much. He has kept me, protected me, and brought me T.H.R.O.U.G.H. (Trials, Hurt, Regrets, Obstacles, Uncertainty, Guilt, Heartbreak), I know I must not sit stagnant but share of His goodness with others, for it is evident there is favor upon my life. Favor isn’t fair and I don’t take it lightly nor for granted. I’m truly blessed.

1 Peter 4:16

Let us not BE ashamed of our valley lows, our hurts, and disappointments, for favor with God shall prevail through praise.🙏🏽💚🦋🌈

May the Master BE magnificent in every moment this Monday, my friend.
