Daily Devotional for December 24, 2020

“I prayed for this child, and the Lord has granted me what I asked of him.” 1 Samuel‬ ‭1:27‬ ‭NIV‬

I know God is speaking to me this morning and maybe to you too. The title of today’s message from Joel Osteen is “Complete Your Incompletions”. What is it that you need to see through because of what you’ve BEen T.H.R.O.U.G.H. (Trials, Hurt, REgrets, Obstacles, Uncertainty, Guilt, Heartbreak)? Or what have you desired to do but put to the side? Well, this is the day that the Lord has made! He has given us another opportunity to BEgin again. On this day and as we close out 2020, work to bring things to completion. Completion doesn’t necessarily mean closure, but put work in to match your faith. Press towards the mark, take a step in faith, for as paraphrased from 1 Samuel 1:27, the things we prayed for, the Lord will grant what we as of Him. Today, I will work to complete my edits on my book. What will you do?

Jeremiah 18

As we go about our glorious adventure of life, working to bring things to completion, let us be led by the Father to shape and mold us into who He desires us to BE. Let us keep in mind that the shaping and molding will cause us to sometimes BEcome uncomfortable as He REmoves us from comfortable situations and those we have BEcome comfortable around. As in Jeremiah 18:11, the Lord commands, “...reform your ways and your actions.” A wonderful change can BE found when we choose to let go and let God have His way with our lives.

REflection from Waiting on God

As we work, let us not worry about the outcome for God keeps His promises to us. Dr. Charles Stanley REminds us not to focus on the object of our desire, but on The Who—the One who answers all of our prayers and petitions. As we keep our focus on Thee, Dr. Stanley says, “You realize the incredible strength, wisdom, and power that are being employed on your behalf. You have confidence because the Lord knows and provides what’s absolutely best for you.” Confidence, that’s the trust that we can depend on knowing “Every good and perfect gift is from above...”(James‬ ‭1:17‬ ‭NIV‬‬). Let us focus on the Father and wait in expectancy for His timing is always perfect. Trust the process and the wait.

Matthew 2:10-11

Each day, let us present the gifts in us to the Father and pray that He allows us to use them to BE a blessing and bless others. 🙏🏽💚🦋🌈

Take time to complete the tasks this Thursday, my friend.
