Daily Devotional for January 8, 2021

On the evening of that first day of the week, when the disciples were together, with the doors locked for fear of the Jewish leaders, Jesus came and stood among them and said, “Peace be with you!” John‬ ‭20:19‬ ‭NIV‬‬

As a BEliever, every trial will BE a part of your triumphant testimony. Osteen provides the following perspective. “We all face times when a dream dies, a relationship ends, we come down with an illness—nothing about the situation seems good.... You may think it is going to stop you, set you back, and cause you heartache. If you’ll stay in faith, one day you’ll look back and say it was good.” Just last night I was speaking to a childhood friend. I said to her, “ My siSTAR, we are living our latter which God promised to BE greater, and our BEst is yet to come. All those prayers that we prayed at night, crying ourselves to sleep, God has answered. He may not have answered them in the way we expected, but He did and they have worked for our good. Take a moment on this Friday to flashback in time and REcall what God has worked in your favor that initially caused fear, frustration, flight or even for you to fight.

Jeremiah 33

No matter what trials we may have or will endure, God will REstore the JOY in us. Jeremiah 33:3,6, and 7 says, “‘Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know.... I will heal my people and will let them enjoy abundant peace and security...and will rebuild them as they were before.” Let us always call to our Father and know that He will answer in His will and His way in His perfect timing.

REflection from New Year: Living With Purpose

As you JOurneY too far into this year of 2021, BE led by God to truly walk in your passion and purpose. What vision is God giving you? Today’s message from the International Leadership Institute says, “Vision is a specific desire that God has for our future. It gives us a direction to head in. Vision grows out of a need that we see around us, something so strong we just can’t get it out of our minds. It gets into our hearts and becomes a burden for us.” What is in you that is uncomfortable that God needs to birth? Take time to write the vision and make it plain, and then run with it, as we are encouraged in Habakkuk 2:2. Do not ignore and put off any longer the opportunity to do the work as a kingdom builder here on earth.

2 Samuel 7:2

There has never BEen and there will never BE another like You—our Father, friend, protector, healer—the Ultimate all-in-one. 🙏🏽💚🦋🌈

Focus on how the Father fixed fear, frustration, flight and even the fight for your favor this Friday, my friend.
