Daily Devotional for January 9, 2021
“The Lord has made everything for his own purposes, even the wicked for a day of disaster.” Proverbs 16:4 NLT
There is purpose for your pain. There is favor for your frustrations. There is healing for your hurts. Osteen’s devotional today focuses on Proverbs 16:4, “Th Lord has made everything for his own purpose.” He has created a course specifically for each of our lives. He never said every step of the way would BE easy, but He said He would never leave us nor forsake us. Osteen REminds us when we stay in the difficult times, our character is developed and our spirit muscles are strengthened, getting us prepared for the next level. I REmain adamant that Everything God Ordains (EGO) and we must go T.H.R.O.U.G.H. (Trials, Hurt, REgrets, Obstacles, Uncertainty, Guilt, Heartbreak) for our breakthrough.
Jeremiah 34
Let us live in peace—peace with others, but most importantly, peace within ourselves. For when we do right and live right by our Father, He promises, “You will die peacefully.... I myself make this promise, declares the Lord” (Jeremiah 34:5). Our ultimate goal for living is eternal life, not temporary gain here on earth.
REflection from New Year: Living With Purpose
As we continue along the course of this new year, let us BE mindful of our purpose and plans. The message for the day focuses on Proverbs 16:9, which REads, “In their hearts humans plan their course, but the Lord establishes their steps.” The International Leadership Institute encourages us to “Count on God to direct our steps, both through our planning and independent of it, but we should prayerfully make plans.” Plans are definitely meant to BE broken when God speaks to lead us according to His will and His way.
Psalms 46:1
He is the ultimate protector of our minds, bodies, and souls. He is our strength on which we can always depend to carry on. 🙏🏽💚🦋🌈
