Daily Devotional for December 7, 2020

“Looking diligently lest any man fail of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and thereby many be defiled…” Hebrews‬ ‭12:15‬ ‭KJV‬‬

We have had the discussions about how we cannot heal until we REveal, and that deals with us personally if we have not dealt with things for ourselves internally. Now Osteen REminds us that when it comes to the dealings with others we will stay bitter and not get better if we don’t deal with things at the root, for “Bitterness infects everything you do and follows you everywhere you go.” As with some weeds, they are capable of producing a flower and trying to blend in, just as we put on a smile to look like things are ok. But weeds grow in inhospitable, harsh and difficult environments. So when it comes to others and clearing up issues with them, REmember like healing, forgiveness is for you. The only way to REsolution is to literally get to the root of it within you. Let us work to nurture and care for healing and forgiveness growing inside and not harbor the deep roots of hurting and bitterness inside.

Jeremiah 1

“Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations... See, I have this day set thee over the nations and over the kingdoms, to root out, and to pull down, and to destroy, and to throw down, to build, and to plant” (Jeremiah 1:5 and 10). As in Jeremiah, God knew us BEfore birth and ordained each of us and made no room for anything but goodness to BE planted within us.

REflection from Yoke Breaking Anointing

I truly BElieve that everything God ordains and with all that I have gone through (Trials, Hurt, REgrets, Obstacles, Uncertainty, Guilt, Heartbreak) it is time to REveal openly the title of my book to my Friends in Faith. I have spoken about how God has REstored the JOY in me, and today’s message from “Yoke Breaking Anointing” tells what our Father continues to do—transform me.

Vance K. Jackson says, “The Greek Word, ‘Transformed’, according to Strong’s Concordance G3339 means, ‘to change into another form.’ When you are in Christ, you’ve changed from the old man and transformed into a new person.” Transformation is a choice. Jackson goes further to say when we choose to follow Christ, “On the outside, you may look the same, but on the inside — you are completely different. When you submit to God, His Power will transform you forever.” And that is what He is doing in my life. When I surrendered and let go, I BEgan to walk by faith and not by sight as He gave me confirmation through His word and His ways. So today I share the title of my book with you: REstore the Joy: A Transformation Through Confirmation. 🙏🏽

Romans 15:4

May we REmember that the Bible is not decoration to just sit on a table or to stand on a shelf. It is our compass and guide as we go through (Trials, Hurt, REgrets, Obstacles, Uncertainty, Guilt, Heartbreak) and even await or REceive our breakthrough. It is a gift—a present in our present, able to continually give peace, love, and JOY. 🙏🏽💚🦋🌈

May we marvel in the Master’s magnificent ways of transforming us this Monday, my friend.
