Daily Devotional for December 20, 2020
“How foolish! Can’t you see that faith without good deeds is useless?” James 2:20 NLT
Let us take every opportunity to demonstrate our faith in all that we do so it activates God’s favor in our lives as Joel Osteen speaks to this morning. If you give it shall BE given unto you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you” (Luke 6:38). Show through actions and express through your words what faith looks like, and watch God bring more than you can imagine into fruition.
Jeremiah 14
As we activate our faith and continue to draw closer to the Father, let us BE patient in waiting for what His will is for our lives. For as Jeremiah 14:22 affirms, “No, you are the one, O Lord our God! Only you can do such things. So we will wait for you to help us.” Continue to let Him move in you as you show your faith for as in Isaiah 43:19, because of our faith He is making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland—ways only He can make for our future. Let us trust the process.
REflection from Elisha: a Tale of Ridiculous Faith
Today’s devotional from Pastor Groeschel speaks about focusing on what is thought of as a coincidence. However, the message shows us that, “Those moments in your life you thought were coincidence... you can look back and see God at work and that what you thought was a coincidence was really a divine appointment God scheduled for you...Be proactive and ask God to bring these moments into your life more frequently.” Over the past three years I have had many of these moments, from God allowing me to REconnect with individuals unexpectedly at my lowest point who would help me T.H.R.O.U.G.H. (Trials, Hurt, REgrets, Obstacles, Uncertainty, Guilt, Heartbreak), to walking by faith and doors literally BEing created for me to walk in. As a REsult I welcome these opportunities and use REflection to REmind me that EVERYTHING GOD ORDAINS (E.G.O.), for it’s all working in my favor for His perfect for my life.
Isaiah 7:14
Though subtle or bold, seek the signs that you prayed for and God is providing in your life. For like the ultimate gift of the Savior for all of us, He will intervene in our individual lives REvealing His presence and providing answers to our petitions. Don’t underestimate or overlook His will and His way for your next step along life’s JOurneY.🙏🏽💚🦋🌈
