Daily Devotional for August 27, 2020

“Don’t urge me to leave you or to turn back from you. Where you go I will go, and where you stay I will stay. Your people will be my people and your God my God.” ‭‭Ruth‬ ‭1:16‬ ‭

As mentioned earlier this week, sometimes in life we have to lose to win. I am understanding more and more in life that losing is an opportunity to learn and grow if we keep a positive perspective. No one wants to lose. As child, I was taught there are winners and losers. This generation is now taught that everyone is a winner, and everyone REceives a trophy. BEfore this morning I hated the thought of everyone winning, but when I think about it, that’s actually fact. Now, in my opinion, everyone shouldn’t get a trophy, but everyone does actually win. Losers experience pain but there is a lesson to BE gained. If the right perspective is kept, the experience is a teacher and an opportunity to REflect and grow. It’s also an opportunity to REmember that there will BE other chances in life. May we learn and grow from loss, and stay in the game, for it ain’t over until God says it’s over.

Job 37

In all that we go through in this life, may we BE REminded from Job 37:5, “God does great things beyond our understanding.” In Him we win, even though in man’s eyes it seem that we have lost.

Last night I was speaking to a client and REminded her the importance of taking captive every thought. We tend to hold dear to our hearts those things that go well in our lives, but when it comes to challenges, the negative REmains in our minds. But as mentioned earlier, there are lessons to BE learned and growth opportunities from our pain. We are in control of our minds. We are REsponsible for activating our faith and doing the work to allow God to Romans 8:28 (work for our good) everything in our lives. So when it seems your thoughts have you down, look to the Lord to find the good He’s trying to share with you. For things aren’t always what they seem.

Lamentations 3:22-23

Today and each day is a new day with new beginnings and new blessings and new mercies and new opportunities that only our Father can grant us, therefore, let us not take Him for granted. 🙏🏽💚🦋🌈

Trust the timing of each test this Thursday, my friend.
