Daily Devotional for June 22, 2021
“Enlarge the place of your tent, stretch your tent curtains wide, do not hold back.” Isaiah 54:2
There was a time when I would awake and REad my morning devotionals in despair. I had to force myself to BElieve that things would get better. Now, I awake knowing and trusting that all things will work for my good. This was not an overnight thing, but with consistency and faith, as Osteen says this morning, “It’s a powerful attitude when you can say, ‘God, I trust You in trouble. I trust You when it’s not happening my way. I trust You even though I feel as though I’m going backward.’” I truly trust Him and it’s an amazing thing to say, BEcause I look back now and know I didn’t really do so for most of my life. Everything happens in God’s timing. If it hasn’t occurred for you, I pray that you will let go and let God now for it is the BEst thing that could ever happen. Worry ends where faith BEgins, and you can REst and REcover REassured that He has you and will never leave you nor forsake you.
Genesis 19
As in Genesis 19 with Lot, let us trust and obey what God is calling us to do and where He is leading us. Bold and uncomfortable steps may have to BE taken, but don’t look back for lack of faith and BElief. REmain forward, focused, and following in faith (and not fear) and favor, for you are walking into your latter and your BEst is yet to come. Let faith, hope, and trust BE your guide along life’s JOurneY.
REflection from Closer to God Each Day
Joyce Meyer REminds us this morning, “God forgives! We are to be merciful and forgiving, just as God in Christ forgives us our wrongdoing. He not only sees what we do that is wrong, but He understands why we did it and is merciful and long-suffering. The choice to forgive others is ours.” Choices—we all have them to make. When it comes to hurt, pain, and wrongdoing, let us choose to forgive, for forgiveness is for you. However, let us not BEcome victim to BEing taken for granted as we work to BE long-suffering, patient, not easily offended, slow to anger, quick to forgive, and filled with mercy. We shall BE like Christ and forgive yet we don’t have to forget.
Psalm 27:14
We don’t have to worry or wonder when we wait for the Lord. His timing is perfect and no hesitation will hold you back; confirmation will catapult you forward. 🙏🏽💚🌈🦋
Treasure time this Tuesday, my friend.
