Daily Devotional for June 21, 2021
“Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you…” Deuteronomy 31:6
Yesterday was a bit difficult for me as I worked to celebrate Father’s Day with and for those near and dear to me. As I was filled with emotions, I had to visit my dad’s gravesite. While there I prayed and spoke with him, but then my mind shifted to how he supported and encouraged me as I prepared to return to my car. Similar to the words from Osteen this morning, “Keep being your best, keep believing, keep praying, keep honoring God, then trouble won’t be the end; it will be transportation. It will move you toward the new thing God has in store.” My dad always pushed me (sometimes too much) to BE the BEst and settle for nothing less. Even from the grave, his absence REminds me to continue to push on and walk by faith BEcause there is more in store beyond death, divorce, and disease for my life.
Genesis 18
As with Abraham in Genesis 18:3, favor for us is found in the Lord…and He will not pass us by. May we REst assured that He will protect, progress, and prosper the righteous.
REflection from Closer to God Each Day
Meyer REminds us this morning that we each have BEen bought with a price. She says, “You are delivered from sin and all the “death” it brings with it. Worry, anxiety, and fear are forms of death. Strife, bitterness, resentment, and unforgiveness are forms of death. The blood of Jesus is the only antidote for death.” Even as we live this life, sometimes we die to ourselves through those things mentioned, but let us always REmember Christ died so that we might live. Let us let go of those things that come to destroy us and give them to Christ so that we might live in the abundance that He has promised.
2 Timothy 1:7
We each were bought with a price and filled with all the blessings of His spirit. 🙏🏽💚🦋🌈
Meditate on His magnificent messages this Monday, my friend.
