Daily Devotional for October 15, 2020

“When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze.” ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭43:2‬ ‭

This morning’s devotional by Joel Osteen made me truly assess where I am right now in life. I’m glad to know that I am truly in a place of peace where I don’t worry, I work to capture every thought and focus on my perspective, I work to BE still to ensure I REspond and not REact, for I know that everything will work for my good. In Osteen’s words, “What is your test now will soon become your testimony.” The main thing is that you must BElieve. In the same way Osteen spoke to us about storms over and over again, you must REprogram your thought process and allow yourself to BElieve over and over again that “You will come out of that promoted, increased, and better”, as reiterated in today’s message.

Deuteronomy 32

As in Deuteronomy 32:45, may we always take to heart all the words that have been solemnly declared to us from the Father, so that we may command ourselves and others to obey carefully all the words of His law. His words are true and shall last. His word is the ultimate bond used to draw us closer and closer to Him and His promises for our lives.

Today we BEgin a new plan by Julia Jeffress Sadler, “Pray Big Things”. We have to personally understand the power of prayer, however, we must also understand that it is critical for us to grow in Christ and build a one-on-one RElationship with the Father ourselves. We can no longer depend on the prayers of others. It is critical that we get to know Him for ourselves and talk candidly and pray without ceasing our own prayers—honest prayers so that He can do more than we can imagine. Sadler says we must make a decision to be intentional about prayer. She goes further to say, we cannot live on borrowed prayers and benefit from other people’s knee work. We must take ownership of our prayers and our faith. She supports this with scripture from Deuteronomy 28:12 which says, “The Lord will open for you His good storehouse, the heavens, to give rain to your land in its season and to bless all the work of your hand; and you shall lend to many nations, but you shall not borrow.” Don’t block your blessings God has promised and wants to give you. Go to Him as you are and ask. He’s ALWAYS waiting to hear your simplest and sincere REquests or what in your mind seems unimaginable to happen in your life.

Proverbs 17:17

When we are unable to depend on even family and those in our circles, may we always know, there’s not a friend like the lowly Jesus. He’s always there, willing and able, but most importantly wanting to hear from us to help us along life’s JOurneY. 🙏🏽💚🦋🌈

Trust Him through trials to thrust you to triumph this Thursday, my friend.
