Daily Devotional for February 10, 2020
“But he that received seed into the good ground is he that heareth the word, and understandeth it; which also beareth fruit, and bringeth forth, some an hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty.” Matthew 13:23 KJV
In this morning’s devotional by Joel Osteen, I could literally REmove his name and add mine to tell the same story. He speaks about the death of his father and how he felt like he was being buried. Then he goes on to say, “But in that dark time, when something was dying, God was birthing something new.” I constantly work to REmind myself and others, we have to go T.H.R.O.U.G.H. (Trials, Hurt, Regrets, Obstacles, Uncertainty, Guilt, Heartbreak) to get to our breakthrough. As Osteen challenges all of us, “Don’t fight the dark places. It’s there to bring out the greatness on the inside.”
Philippians 3
Continuing on let us REmain bold and REst assured in our dark places and “...forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before...pressing toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus” (Philippians 3:13-14 ).
REflection from Dreams Redeemed
A powerful message is found in today’s message from Dreams Redeemed. Harmony Grillo says, “Sometimes the God dream requires sacrifice. As it turns out, God is more concerned with our character than our comfort level.” She goes further to REmind us and encourage us, “There is freedom on the other end of your faithfulness. Both for you personally, and for all of the people who will be impacted by you fully living out your purpose!” There is a quote by Napoleon Hill which says, “Great achievement is usually born of great sacrifice, and is never the result of selfishness.” Christ sacrificed His life for us; let us work to REverence Him and REmain forward, focused, and following in faith (and not fear) and favor towards what He has prepared and is calling us to in this life.
Matthew 18:20
Whether alone or with one or two, favor is found through the Father even if only a few faithfully gather to worship in Him. 🙏🏽💚🦋🌈
Welcome His wondrous will for your life this Wednesday, my friend.
