Daily Devotional for August 14, 2020
I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us. Romans 8:18
Everything God Ordains. I’m always amazed at his timeliness and alignment with my life. Yesterday morning I was having a conversation with a classmate and our dialogue focused on the importance of “staying in the game” REgardless of what may be going on around us. We have to stay focused on our dreams, our passion and our purpose. Even during this pandemic we can find the positive. Then this morning I BEgin to read Joel Osteen’s devotional “Stay in the Game”!! He REminds us that no matter what we may go T.H.R.O.U.G.H. (Trials, Hurt, REgrets, Obstacles, Uncertainty, Guilt, Heartbreak) there will BE glory after this, and our latter will be greater. Let us REmember that trials come to make us strong (or stronger). All that we go through is a blessin’ or a lesson. Perspective REmains the key.
Job 24
May we not focus on the wrongdoings of others, but shall we stay focused on our own actions, words and deeds. For as the inquiry is made in Job 24:1, “Why does the Almighty not set times for judgment? Why must those who know him look in vain for such days?” The day is inevitable and we don’t want to BE denied eternal life with Him.
May we also REmember that faith without works is dead. May our words, actions, and deeds align with our BElief. May we work to produce fruits of our labor that will not only feed our own souls but that of others or at least encourage them to taste and see of His goodness for themselves.
Galatians 5:25
May our actions speak louder than our words along life’s JOurneY. 🙏🏽💚🦋🌈
Faith is the force that produces the fortitude for us to forge forward this Friday, my friend.
