Daily Devotional for August 15, 2020
Those the Lord has rescued will return. They will enter Zion with singing; everlasting joy will crown their heads. Gladness and joy will overtake them, and sorrow and sighing will flee away. Isaiah 51:11
As I REad Osteen’s devotional for today, my mind immediately went to a song by Rev. Timothy Wright, “Trouble Don’t Last Always.” In this life we will encounter some lows, but we must REmember that they are temporary. We may get hurt, but it’s only temporary. We must not allow these situations to make us throw in the towel, but instead let’s pick the towel up and clean up what’s messed up! Turn things over to the Lord and know that He will bring us out. Weeping may enduring for a night but JOY will come in the morning.
Job 25
May we BE REminded that “Dominion and awe belong to God...” (Job 25:2). Power BElongs to God and there is nothing to hard for God.
The weekend is upon us, and many will be focused on preparing and planning for their children to REturn to school REmotely while trying to once again juggle monitoring them and working. Let us not get overwhelmed at the thought of what is to come, but let us work to plan, but most importantly pray. “Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and he will establish your plans.” (Proverbs 16:3 NIV).
Philippians 4:9
The weekend is always a time to REgroup. May we us this time to assess our lives and continue or put into practice what He expects of us as He is with us. 🙏🏽💚🦋🌈
Seek the Savior in solitude and social settings this Saturday, my friend.
