Daily Devotional for November 5, 2020
See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know him. 1 John 3:1
Last night I had a session with my book editor and we discussed the importance of me adding an epilogue. She insisted that it’s not fair for me to leave the REader hanging and not share where I am now along my life’s JOurneY. She spoke of what she has seen through my social media posts over the past few years. I am truly not where I was, and like Joel Osteen speaks to this morning, I am a barrier breaker, BEcause like his father, I developed a new mindset as a child of the Most High God. Change your mind, change your life.
Exodus 9
Let us not BE like Moses with harden hearts as evidenced in Exodus 9. Let us let go and let God and BE obedient to what He is calling and REquiring us to do.
Mark Batterson’s last message in Double Blessing REpeats a phrase I have heard many times before: “Show me the size of your dream, and I’ll show you the size of your God.” Batterson goes further to REmind us of scripture that aligns with this statement. “You do not have because you do not ask God” (James 4:2, NIV), and “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you” (Matthew 7:7, NIV). God is willing and able to bless us, but as He does, we must also REmember the importance of giving to others. Love isn’t love until it is given away. In the same manner our Father loves us and gives to us, we shall do so unto our brothers and sisters—the least of them.
Habakkuk 2:14
Let us continue to do the work of our Father so that His love for us and our actions permeate and impact others to spread His uncontainable word and love. 🙏🏽💚🦋🌈
Give thanks for the things to come through this Thursday, my friend.
