Daily Devotional for September 25, 2020
“Then God said, “Take your son, your only son, whom you love—Isaac—and go to the region of Moriah. Sacrifice him there as a burnt offering on a mountain I will show you.”” Genesis 22:2
God never said everything would BE easy, but He did say He would work everything for our good. We must trust and obey. Osteen says today, “When you face disappointment...if you keep a good attitude and stay in faith, you will past the test...it allows God to give back to you what you really want the most.” As I REflect on yesterday, this devotional gives me comfort and most importantly, confirmation. Yesterday was the first time I was unable to BE with my son on his birthday, because of me choosing divorce. However, He worked everything for my good, and REdirected my focus. I felt myself getting sad yesterday evening, but I pushed myself to walk in the rain. When I returned I looked on my wall to see it had been a year ago since I launched My Big E.G.O. Life, LLC., and then I found out I was recognized as the 2020 Mompreneur of the Year. I was grateful for finding the positive perspective when the enemy wanted me to feel pain. God redirected that energy and reminded me that I also birthed this ministry and I could celebrate that on my own. Trials come to make us strong, but when we trust and obey, God will bless us in unexpected ways.
Deuteronomy 12
When we trust and obey God, “...in the presence of the Lord our God, we and our families shall eat and shall rejoice in everything we have put our hands to, because the Lord our God has blessed us.”
(Deuteronomy 12:7)
Let us always trust the process, particularly associated with REaping our harvest. As Tony Evans puts in perspective, “The key thing to remember is that the season between planting and reaping in God’s harvest doesn’t mean that nothing is happening. He is always at work; sometimes it’s just underneath the soil. So allow a season for reaping knowing that even when God is silent, He is not still.” Seeds sown are buried, and REmain in the dark. There may BE some dark places and days in our lives, but God uses those experiences for our growth and development. The tears we shed during those time water the ground, strengthening us to eventually get to our breakthrough. We must BE still and know that He is God, and let Him work for us to REap what we have sown.
2 Timothy 3:16
It’s good to know we are all equipped with one tool that blesses and teaches lessons gifted by our Father who loves and inspires us most. We must just use it. 🙏🏽💚🦋🌈
Fixate your focus on the Father and His favor for you this Friday, my friend.
