Daily Devotional for January 21, 2021

“He will also send you rain for the seed you sow in the ground, and the food that comes from the land will be rich and plentiful. In that day your cattle will graze in broad meadows.” Isaiah‬ ‭30:23‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Perspective is critical in life as we JOurneY along our glorious adventure. There will come times where things are going well and then darkness comes, as to get us off course. But Osteen encourages us this morning saying, “In the same way there is greatness in us—dreams, goals, talents, potential—that will only come to life in dark places.”. Not only is darkness part of life, but sometimes we will have to BEcome buried and REmember sometimes when it rains, it pours. But let us REmain encourage and know, there’s a blessing in the storm, and opportunities for us to blossom as a REsult.

Jeremiah 46

Let us REmember that it will rain on the just and the unjust. However, as previously mentioned, perspective is a critical component. When in Christ, it’s not necessarily meant to burden or cause difficulties or harm. In Jeremiah 46, the Lord says, “Do not be afraid, Jacob my servant, for I am with you. Though I completely destroy all the nations among which I scatter you, I will not completely destroy you. I will discipline you but only in due measure...”. Trials and tough times discipline us and not harm us. Find the positive perspective in those situations that come across as challenges.

REflection from 21 Days of Prayer & Fasting: The Sauce

Today’s message from Transformation Church focuses on purpose. This morning’s REading keeps me focused on my new mantra from yesterday. I encountered a number of situations with work where God REminded me that I’m not there to BE liked, but to do the work. He has kept me for 15 years and promoted me along the way. He continues to show me that He truly qualifies the called. In all that I do, I must continue to trust in His will and His way for me to plan, act, and do. I encourage you, too, my friend, to focus on your purpose and not the perspective of people.

1 John 3:18

May others see the God in us as we work and play each and every day. 🙏🏽💚🦋🌈

Trample over trials by taking captive your thoughts this Thursday, my friend.
