Daily Devotional for August 18, 2021

“Fight the good fight for the true faith. Hold tightly to the eternal life to which God has called you, which you have declared so well before many witnesses.” 1 Timothy‬ ‭6:12‬ ‭NLT‬‬

This morning’s message from Osteen encourages us not to give up, but continue to fight the good fight for true faith, as written in 1 Timothy 6:12. We must not give up on what we’re BElieving and the promises God has for us. Hold on, BE strong, for it’s only a test—a test of your faith.

Leviticus 26

In this life we will experience seasons. As written in Leviticus 26:4 and 6 God says, “If you follow my decrees and are careful to obey my commands, I will send you the seasonal rains. The land will then yield its crops, and the trees of the field will produce their fruit… and “I will give you peace in the land…” As we see there will BE rain, but that rain produces growth, and with that growth comes peace. It’s necessary, so stay in faith.

Sharing Your Faith by Youversion

Today we BEgin “Sharing Your Faith” by Youversion. It BEgins by discussing evangelism saying, “Evangelism is defined as a zealous advocacy for a cause. In Christianity, this ‘zealous advocacy’ is spread when we share the good news of Jesus Christ.” Each of us are an evangelist in our own right for we have experienced the power of Jesus Christ in our lives. We have experienced what it means to have faith and REceived the REwards and promises for following Him. Let us tell of His goodness to others so that they may come to know Him or grow closer to Him.
